Hey friends!
After a much longer break than expected due to having a muscle strain in my back, we’re back to continue the “Bible Based Confessions” series and praise God my back is doing much better now! So, since it has been a while since the last post, I am going to be changing the title and format just a little bit. Instead of going by the day, I am just going to number each confession accordingly such as #1, #2, #3 and so forth instead of referring to each post in a daily form. I will adjust the other previous posts to reflect this as well!
Now that we have the housekeeping announcement taken care of I am excited to share with you confession #3, which is “I am wonderfully made!” This confession is based upon Psalm 139:14.
No matter what the world says about you, what your friends say about you or maybe even some family members have said about you, the Word of God says that you’re wonderfully made!
Let’s take a deeper look into what the word wonderful means according to the dictionary. It is an adjective that means inspiring delight, pleasure or admiration; extremely good and marvelous.
When I first looked up wonderful on my phone these descriptions literally made me smile so big because I know that’s how my Heavenly Father thinks about me and made me to be; these words describe my identity as a daughter of the King! And, if you have asked Jesus into your heart He calls you His wonderfully made daughter too!
My two favorite descriptions for wonderful that really just jumped out at me were inspiring delight and extremely good!
The Heavenly Father calls you and I His inspiration and delight. He calls us not just good, not just a little bit good but EXTREMELY GOOD— we’re talkin’ like over the top baby girl! Better than the best dessert you could ever imagine, you are the cherry on top and then some to God, you are His favorite, the apple of His eye! I know that it may be a little bit funny to think about the dessert analogy but I am just trying to give you a relatable visual because God is a relational God and He wants to meet you where it makes sense to you and connects to your every day life.
So, if God made us wonderfully then you have no business entertaining anything else that is contrary to that! You are wonderfully made. God knit you in your mother’s womb for you to accomplish the purpose that He has called you to do.
I want to challenge you from this point forward to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, that you are wonderfully made. Tape the I am statement on your bathroom mirror or wherever you will see it everyday:
I AM WONDERFULLY MADE
It doesn’t matter if you feel like it or not, what your past says or what the world may say about you. This biblical confession is your true identity as a woman of God and the more that you confess it over yourself, the more real it will become to you and your faith will grow. You carry yourself differently when you know who you are as a daughter of the King (and these in Christ Bible based confessions are just as important for men of God too, this blog is just mainly geared towards women but just because that’s the case here, don’t think they’re left out! )
Be encouraged today and every day that you are wonderfully made by God!
If you’re not sure if you can confidently say that you are a daughter of the King and you have never asked Jesus into your heart, I invite you to do that today. Just simply confess with your mouth and say out loud that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and you will be saved! (See Romans 10:9-10 in the Bible)
If you asked Jesus into your heart and life today for the first time or rededicated your life to Him please send us a message, we would love to connect with you and send you some gifts and resources that will help you grow in your relationship with God!
